We have a New Pet!

We have a cat!

We found it living in a damp cardboard box near the school where I take my language lessons. It was a classic case of me finding an animal, showing my mom, and her heart melting so that she couldn't possibly say no when I asked her "have we found our cat?" We brought the little kitty home, fed him and long story short I don't think he's stopped purring since.

Nameless Kitty

He has brown fur so dark that it looks black with two white spots, one on his chest and the other on his stomach, all contrasted by his bright yellow-green eyes. Our kitty is made of rubber, it sleeps in the craziest positions, once it was sleeping on its back half falling off the chair with its front paws stretched out in front of it, totally out cold.

He's pretty cute. Also please give us suggestions for names.

He sure is the cutest thing. Maybe you could call him "Coco" or "Chocolat" since he's dark brown and sweet.

He doesn't look serious enough for Feldspar or big enough to be Thor, and I think Shadowfax is just plain out.

Missy votes for Chocolat; I vote for Coco

Great job at saving that sweet kitty!!! You're a hero!!!!

Speaking of saving kitties, check out this website about a dog who saved over 900 cats!

We think we may have found a name but we're still considering. We thought we might name him something in Czech since it is where he's from and my mom's student came up with Sazik, which means Soot, and I came up with Gumova Kočka, which means rubber kitty. he seriously stays in any insane position you put him in even if he's sliding off the chair.

lol Shadowfax! LOLOLOLOL, yeah that's definitely out since he's not a horse and not from The Lord of the Rings. And Rian, I know you don't like kitties but you're just gonna have to deal with it.

Actually, I think Sazik is a cool one. Be the soot.

What are you talking about? I love cats! (Especially pan-fried. Ooh, how about 'Pan-fried?')

Actually, Pan wouldn't be a bad name.

what about

we're not gonna pan-fry the cat... though baked might be good, you know, with a little crab apple in its mouth, mmmmmm. At least that's what we always talked about doing with Woodsy. TECHNICOLOR-SUPER-WONDER-PSYCHEDELIC-
DEAD-DISGUSTINGLY-SWEET-CUPCAKE might be a little long for a cat. Sazik can be a little bit SPYCHO sometimes and he has SERIOUS mood swings: one minute he'll be sleeping on my lap, next he'll randomly start attacking my hand with a vengeful fury, then he'll jump off my lap and attack the plants, then he'll get really playfull and bat the ball he has around the room, and last he'll come back to my lap, jump up and fall back to sleep.(all in the space of maybe three minutes)

Well the fact that it isn't our bird helps matters a little, but yes if they were in the same room together I might be worried.
Hopefully Sazik won't get the chance to eat the bird.

LOL, Sazik would have to take a bus from our house for two stops, then he would have to find Leona's house, get in find the bird and eat it. The bird's beak is pretty sharp though and he doesn't lose any time considering if he should bite you or not so Sazik would probably come out of there with some pretty bad bites.

It has been telling you lies? You know, a sledge hammer usually fixes that. Just have it in your room near your computer and if it bithers you swing away. Happy problem solving! :-)

It's only a matter of months now until I update. Also I'm reading Bram Stoker's Dracula right now so that takes up 99.9% of my time (that .1% is eating, and sleeping).

What are you going to do with your sweet cat when you come home for Christmas? It will be alone for a long time. And I'm glad you're reading Dracula, isn't it the best, I loved that book!!!

I think our friend Leona will watch him, you know the one with the bird. Don't worry though Sazik will stay at our flat and she'll come and feed him and give him some attention since he seems to have some slight separation anxieties.

I know, Dracula is awesome I can't put it down, I bring it everywhere. The book I got is totally unabridged and also has Frankenstein and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. I'll be reading those next. In Dracula I'm at the part where Mina Harker is starting to become more vampiric and the rest are making plans to go after Dracula overland and meet him when he arrives at Castle Dracula. It is really creepy.

ROTFL! That's funny, I'm really enjoying it, you should ask Ms. Cleator if the class can read it, but you'll need the unabridged version sincethe rest sound like they would just be watered down and wouldn't really be as totally awesome.

Finit! I have finished Dacula! Now if I could just tear myself away from the next book I'm going to read I might be able to update.

Hey, Jacob. I am late to this discussion, but my suggestion is that you dye the kitty's fur blonde, fashion a false nose, and name it Nance. (Ask your mom - she'll know.)

Did you tell Jaime my suggestion? Was that her response, or yours? I haven't talked to her in years, but I somehow stumbled onto her site and your blog. Please do say Hello for me, and that I love her still! Nance
